It's nice to see someone point out how dumb Lucy is for singing that one last song instead of heading out of Dodge. That's always bothered me. And yes, "Bring on the Men" is much better than "Good 'n' Evil". When I saw an amateur playhouse's production of this show back in 2001 or so, the script was virtually the same as it is here except for "Bring on the Men' being reinstated.
I will admit though that the aftermath of Lucy's death (as the extras find her and bear her away) in this staging is rather touching -- the only really emotional part of it for me.
