Located on a small expansion shelf about midway between the Third and Fourth Circles, Musical Hell is presided over by Diva, a minor demon charged with passing judgement on the worst musicals ever committed to film. (She still hasn't figured out if this is their punishment or hers.) Take a seat on the bench and have your earplugs ready, because court is now in session.

Musical Hell Review: Spice World

Hey, looks like the back catalog is all settled in over at YouTube (for the time being, at least).  And just in time for a new episode!  And boy, is it a doozy.  I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want--a way to make the hurting that is Spice World stop!

  1. I saw this movie on a first date. With woman who was over 21, I want to point out. For other reasons besides that we didn't have a second date. But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a factor.

How do you feel about the Josie and the Pussycats movie, which came out at about the same time and also has Alan Cummings? Personally, I thought it was underrated.

    1. I've caught bits and pieces of it on cable--it always struck me as more "meh" than genuinely terrible.

  2. I meant to say that there other reasons besides her wanting to see Spice World that we didn't have a second date, not that she was 21. I was a bit unclear on that
    Och, I'm bad at this!
