Ever since I was a little kid watching her on The Love Boat, Carol Channing has been an object of terror for me. Was there ever a time when she was considered attractive? Like, back when she was in Hello Dolly or something? It's that baby-doll voice.

Honestly, you're asking the wrong person--I've never been a fan of Channing's voice, even in her younger days. It always feels like she's working extra hard to get the words past her teeth.
