Located on a small expansion shelf about midway between the Third and Fourth Circles, Musical Hell is presided over by Diva, a minor demon charged with passing judgement on the worst musicals ever committed to film. (She still hasn't figured out if this is their punishment or hers.) Take a seat on the bench and have your earplugs ready, because court is now in session.

New videos posted on the first Monday of the month. Other viewpoints, news, and general ramblings posted when they crop up.

New Musical Hell Epsiode!

Image result for net neutrality youtube

....Or at least, what a new episode could look like without net neutrality.

Look, I know my snark has skewed more and more political over the past year (it's a catharsis thing), and if that irritates you....well, I won't apologize, but I do understand why it might not be your cup of tea.  And if you're rolling your eyes about me getting up on my soapbox right now, stay with me for a second because THIS IS FUCKING IMPORTANT.  I don't care what your political views are, if the thought of ISPs being able to control what content you have access to isn't Orwellian dystopia levels of terrifying then you haven't been paying attention.  With so much communication, information transfer, commerce, and, well, life happening online, we cannot afford to have an Internet that is not a level playing field.

"Sure, Diva, but what can I do about it?"  Glad you asked, random reader of this article!  To begin with, make your voice heard by your representatives, the FCC, and anybody else you can think of.  ResistBot and Stance are two great apps I've discovered that make it easy to express yourself (even if you're like me and have crippling phone anxiety).  Go to gofccyourself.com to add your thoughts on the FCC ruling, or visit BattleForTheNet.com for information on protests and other activism activities.

Finally, sorry for the fakeout.  Patreons, you will get your early release tonight or tomorrow, depending on a last minute-addition that needs to be made.  Everybody else, see you Monday!

  2. I really recommend Resistbot. I give them money and use them all the time. My Republican Senator never answered his phone, or cleared his voicemail, during the fight to save the ACA, so I started using Resistbot. It's a great way to contact everyone you need to in this fight.
