Located on a small expansion shelf about midway between the Third and Fourth Circles, Musical Hell is presided over by Diva, a minor demon charged with passing judgement on the worst musicals ever committed to film. (She still hasn't figured out if this is their punishment or hers.) Take a seat on the bench and have your earplugs ready, because court is now in session.

Know the Score: Coco and The Greatest Showman

Merry Christmas and/or Happy Monday to you all!  Here's something for you to look at in between the presents and the Christmas Story marathon: me unpacking my thoughts on Coco and The Greatest Showman!  Enjoy!

  1. Coco was definitely the better movie and was just phenomenal. I do hate how the Ernesto de la Cruz version of Remember Me is played more on the radio, the Broadway station, and so forth when really the other versions of the song should be given more attention, especially the one sung by Hector & Coco and the one sung by Miguel & Coco.

I do admit that The Greatest Showman doesn't have the best writing but I'm honestly not bothered by the historical inaccuracy because if someone wants to see a movie for historical accuracy they shouldn't go to a damn musical adaptation of it. That doesn't mean it's not good because the film is great. My main problem with the movie is how miscast Zendaya is and her terrible acting. I wrote an article reviewing the film in more detail if you're interested, here's a link. Great video, as always!
