Located on a small expansion shelf about midway between the Third and Fourth Circles, Musical Hell is presided over by Diva, a minor demon charged with passing judgement on the worst musicals ever committed to film. (She still hasn't figured out if this is their punishment or hers.) Take a seat on the bench and have your earplugs ready, because court is now in session.

New videos posted on the first Monday of the month. Other viewpoints, news, and general ramblings posted when they crop up.

Musical Hell: Camp Rock

Here we go with yet ANOTHER Disney Channel musical! This one involves a protagonist learning to be themselves, a mean blonde girl who says mean things about everybody, zany schemes, and performances with absurdly high production values for the setting. Shocking, right?

Musical Hell: Mulan II

Hey everyone, guess who's more or less back on schedule! (For now.) Anyway, at the request of my Patreons I'm diving back into the morass of Disney direct-to-video sequels with Mulan II! CAUTION: Off-model animation ahead. Proceed with caution.

Musical Hell: The Fearless Four

Happy 2022, everyone! We're starting off the year with a bad German movie about a boring German fairy tale.

Also, check out how you can join me for some musical fun at sea next year! (COVID should be mostly done by then. I think.)

Musical Hell: Babes in Toyland

Ah, the holiday season is upon us! The streets are lit up, the stores are bustling, and bad holiday television fills the air. So here's a particularly tedious offering from 1986, Babes in Toyland!

Musical Hell: It Couldn't Happen Here

Happy November! This month's review is...well, it's another weird one. Do you like Pet Shop Boys music, lots of weird random shit, and absolutely no story? Good, then It Couldn't Happen Here is just the film for you!

Musical Hell: It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman

For Musical Hell's ninth anniversary, we're looking at an infamous superhero musical.

No, not THAT one.

I was hoping to also announce Musical Hell merch on this post, but we've been running into complications. Watch this space, though!

Welcome to day whatever-the-fuck of social distancing! For your continued distraction from the daily shitstorm, may a present a cheesy Andrew Lloyd Webber musical?

No, not THAT one, the other one.

Musical Hell: Doctor Dolittle

Hey, it's 2020! Can we call a mulligan on the year yet? In any case, here's Doctor Dolittle, starring Rex Harrison and a bunch of animals (who were slightly more well behaved than Rex Harrison). It was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar, so it can't be all that bad, right?....Right?

Musical Hell Review: Sci-Fi High: The Movie Musical

There's not much to say about this month's Musical Hell review subject.  It's bad.  Really bad.  Proceed with caution--I wish I had.
